Staffordshire businesses can access up to 90% funding towards training in project management and data analytics under a new skills programme backed by Staffordshire County Council.
The council has commissioned Cenit College UK to deliver two skills bootcamps aimed at helping employers develop skills in areas including project delivery, data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
SMEs can receive 90% co-funding towards the training, while larger employers can access 70% funding.
Eligible self-employed people can also access the training with 100% of the cost funded.
A Project Management Skills Bootcamp aims to give employees the practical skills and confidence to support and deliver projects effectively, while the Data Analytics with Power BI programme will cover data build practical data analytics and Power BI skills to support better business decisions.
Both courses are due to start in November and will run for 13 weeks with one, online tutor-led class per week.

It is about helping Staffordshire employers build the capabilities they need to grow and remain competitive, while giving local people access to skills that can open up new employment and career opportunities.
“Project management and data analytics are highly transferable skills that can add value across almost every sector. The level of funding available also means that employers, particularly SMEs, have a valuable opportunity to invest in their people at a fraction of the usual cost.”
