Two Staffordshire Moorlands accommodation providers have been ranked among the best in the country for the customer service they provide.

Hartington Hills holiday park at Hulme End in the Peak District and Quarry House near Oakamoor have each received a VisitEngland ROSE Award (Recognition of Service Excellence).

They are among seven winners selected from the West Midlands, and just 100 recognised across England.

Hartington Hills is a premium, eco-conscious caravan and camping site which says it is celebrated for its “top-tier” facilities including luxury shower block and “warm bubbly hospitality”.

A spokesperson said: “To us, this award demonstrates our ongoing commitment to continually improve our offering and provide a service to our customers that continually exceeds their expectations.”

Quarry House is a self-catering and dog friendly, two-bedroomed detached cottage nestled within the Churnet Valley, which also boasts a pod accommodating two extra guests.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: “The VisitEngland ROSE Awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England.

“They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets and a great welcome for visitors.

“Where people rest their heads is central to ensuring memorable visitor experiences, whether that’s glamping or B&B stays, to country pubs with rooms or self-catering cottages, these providers drive tourism and its benefits across communities.”

ROSE Award winners are nominated by VisitEngland’s Quality Scheme assessors and selected from assessor comments and online feedback from overseas and domestic visitors.
