Businesses urged to back local causes at 60-second pitch event

Staffordshire businesses can meet local charities and care organisations seeking support at a free speed pitch event next month – with each cause given just 60 seconds to explain what it needs.

The third Payback Exchange takes place on Tuesday, 13 October, at Commerce House, Festival Park, bringing businesses and community organisations together to explore opportunities for support.

Hosted by T150 Energy, a strategic partner of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the event will highlight how firms can help through volunteering, professional expertise, donations, funding or choosing a charity of the year.

T150 Energy says its Payback Scheme returned £586,650 to local organisations in 2025. The exchange aims to get more businesses involved, with the emphasis on practical connections and no sales pitches.

For charities and care providers, it offers a chance to put specific requests directly to businesses keen to help. For employers, it is an opportunity to find a local cause that fits their team’s interests and skills.

The event runs from 9.30am to 11.30am and is free to attend.
