DPC Accountants has strengthened its audit offering with the appointment of a new partner.

Muhammad Khan has joined the Stoke-on-Trent firm as Audit Partner, bringing extensive audit and assurance experience across sectors including manufacturing, renewable energy and professional services.

He has previously worked with a focus on SMEs and growing businesses, and his career spans KPMG, Deloitte, Mazars and, most recently, Bishop Fleming.

DPC Accountants is part of Sumer Group, having joined in 2024.

DPC’s Managing Director Michelle Coates said: “Muhammad has a breadth of experience across reputable firms with a wealth of knowledge and skills.

“His experience working with SMEs makes him a perfect fit for DPC and Sumer.

“He brings complementary expertise and fresh perspectives that build on the team’s existing strengths, making an already high-performing audit team even stronger.”

Muhammad said: “I enjoy working collaboratively with growing businesses understanding their ambitions and connecting them with specialists across tax, corporate finance and wider advisory services to help them achieve their objectives.

“For me, a high-quality audit starts with really understanding the business, its risks and its ambitions.

“Clients rightly expect robust, independent assurance, but they also value an audit team that communicates clearly, challenges constructively and makes the process as effective as possible.”
