A rapidly growing craft bakery chain has opened its first store in Lichfield as demand for its traditional Polish baked good continues to rise.
Masovia Craft Bakery opened its doors in Lichfield last week, and the team says the response by shoppers has been “way beyond what they expected.”
Masovia, which opened its first Staffordshire bakery in Stafford last summer, has now launched its eighth store on Bird Street, creating seven new jobs.
Customers can expect freshly baked Polish bread and cakes every day, alongside seasonal specials and healthy options.

Zuzanna Podolak, Marketing Executive for Masovia Craft Bakery, said: “Lichfield has always stood out to us, it’s a beautiful city with a lot of character.
“Finding a home on Bird Street felt like the right moment and the right location, and we’re proud to finally be here and serving the people of Lichfield.
“We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and kindness while we settle in. We’re already starting to recognise familiar faces coming through the door, and we’re learning what our customers enjoy most so we can make sure the shelves are full of their favourites. The response has been amazing and way beyond what we expected.”
The Lichfield bakery joins Masovia’s growing list of locations across the Midlands, including Walsall, West Bromwich, Telford, Stafford, Erdington, Shrewsbury and Redditch.
With expansion continuing, Masovia is now preparing to open its first Cheshire bakery in Crewe.
Zuzanna said the team also hopes to bring more stores to Staffordshire in the future.
“We’d love to keep growing in and around Staffordshire, where people have been so supportive,” she said. “We’re excited to bring Masovia to even more people.”
