Award-winning energy technology company GivEnergy has partnered with a consumer protection organisation to help people who face losing thousands of pounds after ordering new eco home systems from firms that have closed.
The energy storage manufacturer, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, is teaming up with the Home Insulation and Energy Systems Contractors Scheme (HIES).
The aim is to help customers who paid a deposit for work that was never carried out because certain installation companies collapsed. The issue was featured on a recent episode of the BBC‘s popular consumer programme Watchdog.
HIES is offering to assist these consumers by completing their installation for the outstanding contract value.
At the same time GivEnergy is providing their battery and inverter products at cost.
