A comedienne and qualified counsellor will be speaking about climate anxiety and guilt during a business network’s first event of 2024.
Staffordshire Business & Environment Network (sben) is holding a Mental Health and the Environment event with Michelin on Wednesday, 17 January.
Sheila McMahon, CEO of Tamworth-based Mind Management for You, who has appeared on various TV and radio shows, will be talking about the uncertainty of knowing what the right thing is to do.
She will be followed by Mike Astbury, Founder and CEO of Modrem Group, based in Keele, who will talk about improving wellbeing and helping small companies to deliver their sustainability and biodiversity objectives whilst sharing practical tips and techniques.
Michelin will also share some examples of what the company is doing for employees relating to mental health and the environment.
The event, which has been described as an opportunity for businesses and employees to “beat the January blues” takes place at Michelin’s headquarters on Campbell Road, in Stoke-on-Trent, between 10am and 1pm. Delegates can also attend virtually via Teams.
sben aims to support organisations to achieve long term sustainability and maximise their business opportunities through innovative environmental activity. Membership is free for Staffordshire-based businesses until March.
