Lunar by Niall Keating featured in SquareMeal’s Top Restaurants in the UK list

An award-winning restaurant with a menu celebrating the finest locally sourced ingredients has secured a spot on a renowned list of top restaurants in the UK for a second consecutive year. 

Lunar by Niall Keating, based at Barlaston’s World of Wedgwood, is placed 58th in the SquareMeal list of the UK’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2024 – the only Staffordshire restaurant to be featured. 

The SquareMeal Top Restaurants list is widely regarded as a hallmark of culinary distinction, featuring a carefully curated selection of the UK’s best, from fine dining experiences through to farm-to-table restaurants and gastropubs. 

The dining experience at Lunar is inspired by global travels, sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. 

Last year, the restaurant was positioned at number 43 on the same list.

Two-star Michelin chef Niall Keating, pictured above, said: “We are honoured to be featured on SquareMeal’s list once again. It’s a testament to the hard work and passion of our entire team, and the support of our loyal customers.

The list is a combination of critic-led opinions from the SquareMeal team and thousands of diner votes.

SquareMeal has said “only the very best in the industry find a place on the list” and this year presented the “highest calibre of restaurants yet”.
