Family-run HMM lands property conversion project with Unitas

Leading mechanical and building service provider HMM has landed a significant property conversion project with repairs and maintenance company Unitas in Stoke-on-Trent.

The comprehensive deal involves the conversion of three-bedroom dwellings on Jesse Austin Avenue in Fenton, to align with local housing needs.

Unitas sought a single contractor for the transformation of the two houses into a six-bedroom home. It encompassed general building works, heating and plumbing installations, including a new kitchen, and layout changes.

The project, set to commence next week, is slated for completion by the end of May.

“We are thrilled to have been awarded the tender for the Jesse Austin Avenue property conversion project,” said HMM Site Manager Tim Harrington.

“Our success in securing this project is a testament to our extensive experience, meticulous tender bid, and commitment to safety and quality.”

Last year, Daily Focus reported that the family-run firm, had received grant funding to help transform its headquarters at Chemical Lane, Longbridge Hayes, Stoke-on-Trent. It was also looking to grow its 28-strong workforce by around 25 per cent.

The latest project enhances those growth plans as HMM looks to build on its customer base in 2024.

Tim added: “We are excited to collaborate closely with Unitas to deliver a successful outcome that exceeds expectations.

“The awarding of this tender further enhances HMM Ltd’s reputation within the industry, positioning the company for continued success in securing similar projects in the future.”
