‘Beautiful’ addition to Barton Marina leisure attraction amid strong demand for retail space

1 min read

Demand for retail space at a canalside leisure development in South Staffordshire is growing fast.

The most recent arrival at Barton Marina, in the village of Barton-under-Needwood, is 22 Beauty

The salon offers professional beauty treatments including facials, lashes, and waxing treatments at affordable prices.

It’s the second salon that commercial property agents Rushton Hickman have facilitated at the Marina – they previously let a unit to wig and hairpiece supplier Aderans Trendco

New arrivals 22 Beauty are occupying Unit 8, a 238 square foot retail premises which forms part of a parade of shops and restaurants on the waterside.

Owner Laura Cooper said: “Getting the lease on this property has been extremely exciting and the other businesses at Barton Marina have been so friendly and welcoming to us and our new adventure, which is comforting for any new business starting up in this popular and well-established setting.

“Also, the canal access has been a welcome and unexpected addition to 22 Beauty’s trade, as people have visited for beauty treatments while they are on holiday or travelling through, which is great!

“The Rushton Hickman team have been brilliant in guiding us through this process and always been on hand to help where needed.”

Richard Fairey, Director at Burton upon Trent-based Rushton Hickman, said: “22 Beauty are a welcome addition to the retail offering at Barton Marina.

“Their use complements the other existing occupiers well so we were excited to do the deal with them.

“We were able to agree pretty much immediately after marketing commenced and this latest letting highlights the demand for retail space on site.”
