Connor Gibson, Apprentice at Johnson Tiles, named finalist for Employee of the Year at Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards

Connor Gibson, an apprentice at Johnson Tiles, has been selected as a finalist for the Employee of the Year category at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards.  This category is proudly sponsored by Ornua.

Joining Johnson Tiles as an apprentice in 2015, Connor’s passion for learning and his mature approach to work quickly set him apart. Excelling in his apprenticeship and showcasing his outstanding dedication and skills in pneumatics and hydraulics, he won three prestigious awards: NSEG Apprentice of the Year for Mechanical Engineering, NSEG Distinction Award, and NSEG Overall Apprentice of the Year.

His colleagues have commented that Connor is keen, driven, enthusiastic, modest, likable, resolute, and takes initiative. His manager also said that Connor has an excellent attitude to learn and progress, is dependable, and is a very well-liked and valuable member of the team.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Connor’s passion for football reflects his commitment to community engagement and personal growth. Actively involved with a local grassroots football team, he aspires to contribute as a member of the coaching staff, embodying his proactive and forward-thinking approach both on and off the field.

The category winner will be announced at the gala awards evening, set to take place on the Thursday, 4 July at the Doubletree by Hilton.
