Established provider of heating, plumbing and electrical services Ignite Facilities has announced the appointment of Mark Cleverley as Contracts Supervisor.

Mark, who has a career spanning 41 years in the industry, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team based in Joiner’s Square, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Mark’s extensive background in the building services industry is marked by his management of planned preventative maintenance contracts for major clients, with a strong emphasis on compliance.

His journey began straight out of school, spending a year working ‘down the pit’ before embarking on an apprenticeship as a boiler engineer at the age of 17.

Over the years, Mark advanced through various roles, including Senior Engineer, Contract Manager, Technical Manager, Service Manager, and Service Delivery Leader at a national Mechanical Engineering firm.

Reflecting on his career, Mark said: “A key part of my role is being able to pass on impartial advice to clients when resolving their issues, especially if it’s of a technical matter. I believe that this builds up trust with clients, and my goal is to be a ‘trusted adviser’ to our clients.”

Mark and Chris Brass, Director at Ignite Facilities, share a long-standing professional relationship, having worked together for 20 years as Contract Managers at George Birchall Service Ltd.

Their strong partnership is set to continue at Ignite Facilities, where they will leverage their combined expertise to deliver exceptional service to clients.

Chris said: “We are thrilled to welcome Mark to our team. His vast experience and dedication to client service will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our offerings.”

With Mark on board, Ignite Facilities is poised to further strengthen its service delivery and client relationships.
