Lesley Morrey appointed as new City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College Principal

The new Principal of City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College says she is committed to playing her role in delivering education to enhance the future careers and prospects of students. 

Lesley Morrey joins the further education organisation with more than 30 years of management experience, including 17 years in post-16 education. 

Previous roles include Executive Director at Stoke on Trent College and Director at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group

Her extensive background encompasses a wide range of skills and experiences in further education including strategy and policy development, quality assurance, curriculum planning, finance and budget managements as well as people leadership. 

Born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent, Lesley says she remains deeply connected to her hometown, where she also resides with her husband and adult son. 

Lesley said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as Principal at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College. 

“I am committed to working closely with our staff, governors, and stakeholders to provide impactful and responsive post-16 education that enhances the future careers and prospects of our young people.  

“It is my sincere belief that by nurturing exceptional talent, we can empower our students to become influential leaders and innovators in their communities.”
