1 min read

A Staffordshire company has increased turnover by more than £1.5 million in the last twelve months by bringing in a host of customers and hiring new sales recruits.

The growth has led to unified communications specialists Zusi moving into bigger and better office premises in Newcastle-under-Lyme to accommodate its expanding team and gear up for further success.

In the past six months the company, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, has recruited five new sales staff to support the company’s ambitious plans, which include doubling turnover next year to £2 million and increasing it to £5 million within the next three years.

It is also looking to bring in 10 more sales staff over the course of the next year to grow its footprint across the UK.

Zusi’a growth strategy will focus on new, niche markets, improving efficiencies within the business, adopting new technologies and establishing and strengthening partner channels.

Zusi is a platinum partner of Vodafone, EE, 02 and Three and has clients across the UK from London to the Northeast. It specialises in transforming communications for SMEs and large corporates, with the aim of taking pressure off in-house resource by fully managing connectivity and unified communications solutions.

The company was founded by Managing Director Richard Gannon in 2014. He said: “When I launched Zusi, I wanted it to be completely different by putting the customer and their experience first.

“It’s our customer service that I believe sets us apart from our competitors and will help fuel our growth going forward.

“The last twelve months have been fantastic for us, we have had some major client wins, recruited five new staff and moved into bigger premises, so we can accommodate our growing team.”

In the last 12 months Zusi has also had a number of significant client wins including a large Devon based estate agency chain called Kivells, Stoke-on-Trent engineering company Fletcher Moorland and one of the country’s largest providers of housing and support for homeless people – Homeless Oxfordshire.

It builds on the clients wins in 2022/23 which included securing a major contract with Italian company Calpido. Zusi also won a £650,000 contract with a national hotel chain to supply their phone systems across 50 sites.

Richard said: “Our focus is to increase our turnover to £5 million within three years and to do this by strengthening and building on the fantastic team we already have here.

“We have an established regional sales footprint in the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Northeast, but as we continue to grow our aim is to have a larger team of salespeople in more corners of the UK.

“Over the next 12 months we have plans to recruit a further ten sales staff. We will also focus on establishing and strengthening partner channels and have exciting plans to develop a new distribution model.”
