Businesses are being urged to consider joining a charity’s network to help inspire young people.
Ruff & Ruby, in Stoke-on-Trent, works to promote self-esteem and aspirations in young people and runs SOT Youth Collective bringing together over 50 city-wide organisations – but more members are needed.
Founder and CEO Dawn Reynolds said: “We have got some amazing, dynamic projects that we are looking to do next year and we need help with them.
“We believe in the power of young people and want to improve the chances for those who are experiencing disadvantage. The people who we help today could become the city’s great leaders in the future.
“As well as networking, there are many opportunities for businesses to give a bit back.”
The charity runs various services including mentoring, upskilling, workshops in schools, bedroom makeovers and runs its own community hub in Hanley.
For more information on how to get involved, email [email protected], call Dawn on 07812 774632 or visit the charity’s website here.
- A thank you has also gone out to businesses and individuals who have supported the charity’s Christmas special gift day by donating presents for those in poverty. Many have been given out to service users, with the rest set to be handed out at the store tomorrow, Saturday 16th December.
