Students and staff from two South Staffordshire College sites took part in a walking challenge to raise money for vulnerable veterans and their families.
The fundraisers based at Tamworth College and Cannock College covered 24 kilometres to support the military charity Walking With The Wounded in its annual Walking Home For Christmas campaign.
After setting themselves an initial target of £1,000, they have so far raised more than £1,800 – with donations still coming in.
They followed a route which began at their College site and finished at the National Memorial Arboretum, led by tutors who between them have served more than 35 years in HM Forces with the RAF and Royal Engineers.
The Public Service course at the college introduces students to the requirements of a career in Public Services such as Police, Armed Services, Ambulance, Prison, Fire and Rescue or HM Customs and Excise.
