An enhanced tree trail has been unveiled in a Rugeley park in time to get families out and about during half term.
The Elmore Park trail features 21 QR codes along the route, with information about the different trees in the park. Anyone who scans all QR codes will be able to claim a free colouring book.
The enhanced trail is part of the Cannock Chase Can programme, which promotes activities that support health and wellbeing.
Councillor John Preece, deputy leader and portfolio leader for parks, culture and heritage at Cannock Chase District Council, said: “Exploring Elmore Park’s Tree Trail is a fantastic way to learn about nature, stay active, and enjoy quality time outdoors. We’re delighted to bring this interactive experience to our community.
“Trees are essential for a healthy planet, and this trail brings their significance to life. I encourage everyone to take part and enjoy this fantastic resource.”
You can download the leaflet from the Council’s website, or pick up a copy from the park keeper in Elmore Park.
