A new grant programme has been launched to help community organisations celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary.
The Staffordshire Foundation has introduced the Let’s Celebrate SOT 100 fund to offer grants of between £500 and £3,000 to support community projects that commemorate the city’s 100-year milestone.
The programme aims to fund a diverse range of activities, including cultural events, heritage projects, environmental activities and health and wellbeing initiatives, which are designed to celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s rich history and vibrant community spirit. All activities must take place within the centenary year of 2025.
Eligible applicants include local charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and community groups within Stoke-on-Trent. Projects should align with the centenary’s themes and demonstrate a clear benefit to the local community.
Applications are now open, and interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals by the March 14 deadline.
A spokesperson said: “The Let’s Celebrate SOT 100 community grants fund has been launched to support voluntary and community groups in delivering events and activities that celebrate Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary in 2025. This fund aims to bring communities together, create lasting memories, and leave a meaningful legacy for future generations.”
