The founder and chair of a Stone-based natural packaging company has clinched a Woman of the Year title.
Angela Morris, who founded Woolcool, was named Woman of the Year in the Retailer and Manufacturing Category at the inaugural Women in Packaging Excellence Awards 2025.
The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of women driving change, innovation, and progress across the packaging industry and Angela beat 12 other finalists to claim the title.
It is the latest in a long line of accolades for Angela and the firm which include two Queen’s Awards, B Corp accreditation, a recent honorary doctorate from the University of Staffordshire and the award of Freeman of the City of London.
Angela has said she is ‘proud and honoured’ to win the award.
She added: “Having worked in the packaging industry for over 45 years, I was delighted to see so many talented women driving innovation and change within this traditionally male dominated sector.
“The atmosphere was incredible and the women amazing. I have attended many packaging events and awards evenings over the last 45 years where the women guests were in single figures. So often I have been the only woman on a table of men, feeling very conspicuous and uncomfortable. It was so good to see that at this event in 2025 the tables had finally turned!
“I am truly inspired by all the women who have worked so hard to achieve recognition in the packaging sector. To my mind everyone who participated in the Women in Packaging Excellence award was a winner.”
