Manufacturer helps meet demand for self-serve pint technology

A Staffordshire-based manufacturing specialist is helping to ramp up production of the UK’s fastest-growing automated self-serve drinks technology. 

PP Control & Automation (PP C&A) has extended its partnership with EBar, the West Yorkshire firm behind the patented Beerwall pour technology, which can deliver 200 pints per hour. 

PP C&A is now overseeing the complete electronics and mechanical build, as well as full assembly, at its factory in Cheslyn Hay after EBar secured several new contracts with sporting venues – and aims to have 100 units in operation by the end of 2025. 

A dedicated team of eight engineers has created a specialist production cell capable of building up to five Beerwall units a week, a 200 per cent increase on previous capacity. Build times have halved, ‘right-first-time’ rates have improved, and EBar is now confident in scaling up to hundreds of units per year. 

PP C&A has taken full responsibility for supply chain management, working with EBar’s engineering team to identify ways of saving time and money, and integrating new technology such as an automatic cup feeder.

The Beerwall technology will be installed at five Premier League football stadiums by the start of the season.
