Port Vale invests in Legends Lounge as part of 150th anniversary celebrations

Port Vale has unveiled its rebranded Legends Lounge as part of a wider programme of upgrades at Vale Park during the football club’s 150th anniversary year.

The revamped hospitality and events space – formerly the Valiant Suite – now features upgraded sound and lighting systems and wall graphics celebrating Port Vale heroes from the club’s past. It will continue to host hospitality guests on matchdays and is also available for weddings, forums and other non-club events.

The Lounge is part of a series of improvements across Vale Park, which marks its 75th anniversary this month. Other cosmetic upgrades this summer have included new branding in first-team areas such as the home dressing room and main reception.

Guests enjoy the revamped lounge at the first home game of the season.

The investment in the Legends Lounge – which the club says was ‘thousands of pounds’ – has also seen the expansion of the club’s commercial and venue teams, with a new Head of Sales, Sales & Partnerships Executive and Venue Supervisor joining the team.

The club expects the enhanced space to generate increased revenue across both football and non-football events throughout the season and beyond.

Chief Executive Matt Hancock said: “We were delighted to unveil the new-look Legends Lounge going into such an important season for the club. While we’re all looking forward to what we believe is a really exciting future for everyone associated with Port Vale and our local community, it’s important we don’t lose sight of our history and the players and managers who have helped make the club so special, and we feel the Lounge helps us do exactly that.”

The Lounge launched in time for the home opener against Cardiff City on Thursday (7 August) having hosted a Supporter Forum the previous week.

Match-by-match hospitality packages in the Legends Lounge include three-course dining, central view match seating, match day build up including interviews with first-team players and a Player of the Match presentation after the game, with prices starting from £79.
