Creative agency turns up the volume with new studio attracting out of the county clients

A creative agency has invested £15,000 into opening a second professional video podcast studio aimed at growing Staffordshire’s profile as a hub for high-quality content production.

Stone-based dissident creative agency has already won a new client in Stabila UK which has chosen to travel from Birmingham to record a new podcast at the studio. The first of five episodes are currently being recorded there with the launch due in September.

The spirit level company joins a roster of other businesses that dissident has worked with including Thomas Dudley, fischer fixings UK and Capula

Daniel Moore, Creative Director at dissident, said: “This is the second video podcast studio we have opened in just 18 months, and it reflects what we have learned since launching our first.

“Our original space is very us – it’s very ‘dissident’ – dark, moody and cinematic, which works brilliantly for some creators, but we realised there are many people who prefer a more casual, welcoming environment. This new studio is designed for them.

“Video podcasting is still growing, but in Staffordshire and the surrounding counties, a lot of businesses and creators have not fully explored its potential, often because the facilities just have not been accessible locally. We want to change that. When someone books with us, they do not just get a room; they get an engineer on hand and a fully edited, ready-to-publish episode, with no DIY required.”

He added: “But it is not just about podcasts. As a video production agency, we deliver large-scale productions for major brands, but these studios also give businesses and creators a way to produce professional interviews, talking heads and educational videos at a more accessible price point.

“One of our clients is a wedding dress shop; one uses the studio to create personal branding videos for their LinkedIn page. The possibilities are endless. We live in a video-first world, and now people in Staffordshire have the choice, from quick-turnaround content to major productions, all without having to leave the county.”

The Stabila UK podcast gets filmed.
