Free Castle Classics Retro Car Show returns to Newcastle in October

1 min read

A free classic and retro vehicle show which draws fans from far and near is set to return for its third outing.

The next Castle Classics Retro Car Show will take place in Newcastle-under-Lyme between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, 25 October.

Visitors can expect a collection of vehicles from the early 1900s to the early 2000s along Ironmarket and High Street.

The event is being hosted by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and The Red Haired Stokie and joined by community radio station 6 Towns Radio.

Charlie Machin, the BID’s Projects and Marketing Executive, said: “This will be our third time running Castle Classics, and the momentum keeps growing. In March 2025 we welcomed over 100 classic and retro cars into the town centre, it was a great day in the town.

“We’re excited to bring it back this October with 6 Towns Radio on board. Exhibitor spaces sold out last time, so we’d encourage anyone keen to take part to book early.”

She added: “Events like this are key to increasing footfall for local shops, cafes and businesses, bringing people back into the town and reminding locals of what’s on their doorstep.

“We’re really excited about the success of Castle Classics and are looking to grow it further this year, turning it into a staple in the local calendar, something everyone can look forward to each year, attracting visitors from both inside and outside the area.”

Jenna Goodwin, The Red Haired Stokie, said: “Castle Classics was a fantastic event that brought so much life and vibrancy to Newcastle town centre.

“With the hard standing space, it’s the perfect venue for all types of classic vehicles, providing a safe and accessible environment for owners to showcase their pride and joy.

“The event is free to all visitors and accessible for everyone, allowing people of all ages to come together, enjoy the displays, and discover everything the town centre has to offer.”
