Communications specialists Zusi is launching a new office in South Africa as part of its expansion plans.
The Newcastle-under-Lyme-based company is opening the Cape Town office this month with a 20-strong team in place, including business development positions and communications specialists.
In the past 12 months, Zusi has also recruited 10 additional staff in the UK, rebranded, launched a new website and moved to larger offices, as well as introducing new services.
Founded in 2014, the company specialises in transforming communications for SMEs and large corporates, including unified communications, mobile tariffs and handsets, connectivity and IT security and support.
Managing director Richard Gannon said: “The last 12 months have been great for us – we’ve launched new services, won major new clients and strengthened our position in the market with a rebrand and new website but we can’t afford to stand still. It’s time to build on our existing success and the next logical step for us to do this is to take the Zusi brand overseas.
“Opening a second office in South Africa is a fantastic fit. The country has a highly skilled talent pool of educated English-speaking professionals which means we’ve been able to recruit the best in their field. And because they operate in a time zone that is just one or two hours ahead of the UK, depending on the time of year, it means communication and collaborative is easier and simpler.
“We are delighted to be opening there – it’s the perfect location to build a client base overseas. Whether our team is operating from our Staffordshire office or our South Africa office, one thing that we remain steadfast on is our approach. Zusi, which has been trading for eleven years, plans to double its turnover this year to £2 million, with ambitions to reach £5 million within the next three years.
