New finance leaders join Tara Group to drive ambitious growth drive across the Midlands

Construction specialist Tara Group has its sights set more than doubling turnover to £400m in annual sales by 2030 after strengthening its leadership team with three senior finance appointments.

The Chasetown company, home to Cameron Homes, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Keon Homes, has brought in David Grady as Group Chief Financial Officer and Taranjit Tiwana as Finance Director for Cameron Homes.

They are joined by long-serving colleague Kiera Pascoe, who steps up to the newly created role of Director of Tax and Financial Compliance.

Grady brings heavyweight experience from Central England Co-op, Tarmac, and most recently the University of Wolverhampton, following a spell as CFO for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Tiwana, an ACCA-qualified accountant, joins from Redrow Homes, where he spent 12 years leading finance functions across the East Midlands and Yorkshire.

Chief Operating Officer Julie Caudle said the appointments come at a key moment: “Despite wider economic pressures, we’ve delivered another year of growth. Strengthening our finance team gives us the resilience and agility to target new opportunities and improve how our three businesses work together.”

Founded in 1974 and still owned by the Sweeney family, Tara Group now employs over 250 people and operates from three offices in Chasetown. The group is currently working on its B Corp submission and continues to invest in local skills, taking on new apprentices and graduates this year.

CFO David Grady added: “This is a fantastic time to be joining. We’re focused on building a modern, data-led finance function that supports sustainable growth and positions Tara Group as one of the Midlands’ most forward-looking construction businesses.”
