A new nightclub is set to open in Newcastle-under-Lyme’s town centre tonight following a £200,000 refurbishment of the premises.
Suede has taken over the nightspot on High Street once occupied by Brassingtons.
The refurbishment of the 600-capacity venue over the past 18 months has included everything from new electrics, air conditioning and safety systems to the installation of state-of-the-art sound systems.
Dance podiums from the old nightclub have been taken out to create more space on the dance floor, and Suede also boasts a VIP room upstairs.
It will open at 8pm this evening, with free entry until 10pm and the party with DJ KBS continuing until 2am.
Revellers can expect a mix of R&B, house music and more.
More than 10 jobs have been created by the venture so far.

A spokesperson told Daily Focus: “A lot of work has gone into getting the nightclub ready to open.
“It was quite compact with the dance podiums in place so those have come out and we have a massive dancefloor now.
“We hope it will be buzzing. We have a really good DJ, KBS, coming for the launch party and lots of other special events planned too.”
ShoKo Winter Groove is one of the first big planned events. The house night takes place on Friday, 5 December from 8pm and will feature the likes of Lee Buxton, Spacebed and Emily Ekin.
Fifteen special events are planned for next year.
