Oh, biscuits! YMCA needs help to sweeten Christmas for families in need

Support from the business community is needed to top off an appeal helping to make Christmas brighter for people in need.

YMCA North Staffordshire hopes to support around 600 local families with hampers of food and goods – but volunteers are short of almost 500 boxes of biscuits.

Local businesses are being asked to chip in with donations towards the £1,000 cost of the treats.

Tracey Pointon, Executive Services and Communications Manager, said: “Christmas can be a difficult time for some, but together we can bring hope, warmth, and festive spirit to those who need it most.

“We welcome any donations from businesses who are able to help us fund biscuits.

“For many of the families receiving support, these festive extras are the only indulgences they’ll enjoy over the holiday season.”

Donations can be made via JustGiving here.
