Staffordshire demand drives MET Recruitment’s professional services expansion

A recruitment agency has welcomed a new director to expand its ‘professional’ offer following the successful launch of an office in Tamworth and experiencing high demand in the sector in Staffordshire.

MET Recruitment, which opened in Tamworth in October following a £100,000 investment, wants to provide new and existing clients with access to temporary and permanent candidates across professional services, HR, finance and procurement.

The move is designed to tap into the sector’s desire to move away from the larger agencies to a more personalised offer, something the firm has already cornered in industrial and logistics recruitment.

Industry expert Lynn Campbell has joined as a director and aims to build a £1 million professional division, supported by a dedicated team of three to four consultants by the end of the year.

Lynn, who will be based across MET Recruitment’s Tamworth and Black Country offices, said: “There is lots of demand for professional services, procurement, HR and finance recruitment in Staffordshire and we had started to see an increase in enquiries through our Tamworth office for a specialist focus in this area.

“We listened and invested heavily in creating this dedicated ‘professional’ offer and believe we can be a serious alternative for companies looking for a more personalised service, backed up by decades of recruitment experience.

“Finding middle and senior managers can really unlock a firm’s potential, so we’re hoping we can be that organisation who solves headaches for businesses across the county.”

Fellow director Matthew Hunter said: “Attracting Lynn is a big coup for us and gives us a dedicated specialist to lead the launch and growth of our professional offer.

“Her three decades of experience in placing interim and permanent staff means she arrives with a massive contact book that we can explore. Importantly, she also shares the same customer-first principles that the company was founded on.”
