Employers are being encouraged to share their views on challenges they are facing in business with a local college.
Leek College joined NSCG Group earlier this year and is keen to work with employers to understand what they need from the curriculum, where current and future skills shortages lie and how the college can adapt its provision to better support workforces.
An employer an employer engagement event is being held at the Stockwell Street college between 8am and 10am on Wednesday, 4 February.
A spokesperson said: “Through NSCG, we already offer a wide and growing range of apprenticeships across multiple sectors, helping individuals to earn, learn and develop the skills that businesses need to thrive. By bringing Leek College into the NSCG family, we have a fantastic opportunity to strengthen those pathways even further and tailor them more closely to local demand.
“By working together, we can build a workforce that is skilled, adaptable and ready for the future. Whether it’s technical skills, digital capability, leadership, or sector-specific expertise, your insight is vital in helping us design programmes that are relevant, responsive and impactful.”
The event will also provide an opportunity for employers to meet the college team and learn more about the apprenticeships and training they offer.
