Stoke firm collaborates with Emmy-winning journalist on US travel show for CBS network

Stoke-based Inspired Film and Video has landed a prime-time US network credit after making one of America’s biggest travel shows in iconic North West locations.

Inspired’s production team were drafted in by Emmy Award-winning travel journalist Peter Greenberg to deliver full UK crew and directing services for a new episode of The Travel Detective

The show will be broadcast across the US on the giant CBS network.

Filmed over a week in October, the programme shines a spotlight on Manchester’s cultural clout and lesser-known hotspots, taking the city to a huge US audience.

American network productions operate to exacting technical and editorial standards, and increasingly rely on trusted local partners like Inspired, set up to deliver broadcast-ready content at scale.

Inspired supplied directing, camera, sound and drone services, led by director Michael McDonald, ensuring the production met the expectations of a global broadcaster.

Mike said: “Working with Peter Greenberg and his team was a fantastic opportunity. He’s a titan of travel journalism and CBS is a huge platform.

“To be trusted to deliver on a production of this scale says a lot about our crew.”

Inspired has spent nearly 20 years working with international broadcasters including Deutsche Welle, TV Tokyo and Channel 6, but this marks one of its most high-profile US network collaborations to date.

The Manchester episode is scheduled to air on CBS in early 2026, with additional coverage available via The Travel Detective’s online Hidden Gems feature and associated digital platforms.
