One of the UK’s only jigsaw manufacturers has opened a flagship store at The Trentham Estate in the hope of boosting sales and increasing brand awareness.
Great British Jigsaws has created three new jobs with the venture which opened on Saturday, with further recruitment expected ahead of the busy festive season.
The Stafford-based company was founded by husband-and-wife team Jason and Kathy Cornish during the Covid pandemic when they diversified from their calendar-printing operation.
The new store is in the visitor attraction’s retail village, occupying the unit previously home to J And P Hats.

Jason told Daily Focus: “Having a flagship store is a way of growing sales and proving to our retailers that our jigsaws sell in retail environments. We’re proud of what we produce, and we want to get our brand in front of more people.
“Trentham supports independent brands and has been keen to have us. With 3.2 million visitors every year, it is the right place for us.”
All Great British Jigsaws products are manufactured in Stafford, and Jason believes the company is one of only four jigsaw manufacturers operating in the UK.
Clients include National Trust, Blenheim Palace and House of Lords.
Jigsaws in the shop will be from the firm’s wholesale range and include designs from Stone-based artist and illustrator Emma Joustra, OS maps of national parks, paintings of Great British trains such as the Flying Scotsman.
The store was stocked with 700 jigsaws when it opened and was offering 25 per cent off purchases made over the weekend.
