Meridian Consult acquired as Celnor expands building safety division

A Stafford-headquartered building control and regulatory consultancy been acquired by a leading UK investor in the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) sector.

Celnor Group has bought Meridian Consult in a deal which will strengthen its Risk Management division and expand its capabilities in building safety, compliance and technical consultancy services across the built environment sector.

Based at Stafford Technology Park, Meridian Consult was founded in 2003 and provides building control and regulatory consultancy services to clients across the residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed-use sectors.

The business supports projects ranging from small developments to major regeneration schemes and high-rise buildings, and also offers specialist consultancy in fire safety, latent defect auditing and technical compliance.

The company employs 20 people, and no jobs will be affected by the acquisition.
