A Stoke-On-Trent based commercial relocation firm is on track for its strongest year yet following significant turnover growth over the past three years.
Move Management Asset Removals is enjoying increasing demand from customers looking for a single supplier to manage an entire relocation rather than having to coordinate several different businesses.
The company has also recently expanded its commercial storage operation in Stoke-on-Trent, has seen an increased demand for furniture clearance and recycling projects since the Covid-19 pandemic and has just renewed its Constructionline Gold accreditation for the second consecutive year.
Project Director Laura Fearn said: “Increasingly, clients are looking for a single partner who can manage every aspect of a relocation, rather than coordinating multiple suppliers.
“While we work across the UK, most of our work is carried out across the Midlands, North and North West and we are delighted that recent high-profile contracts have put us on track to make 2026 our strongest year yet.”
Move Management Asset Removals – founded by local businessman Mike Dawson almost 20 years ago – was recently brought in to relocate the iconic Steel Man sculpture from the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery on behalf of Goodwin PLC.
The team transported the sculpture to Goodwin’s workshops, where it was originally cast in 1974 and where it is now on display. Several other sculptures and heritage pieces were also moved as part of the wider project.
Mike said: “Being born and bred in Stoke-on-Trent but working across the UK, this was a full-circle moment for me, being trusted with the relocation of such an important piece of the city’s heritage.
“It was a special project for the team and we’re proud to have played a small part in preserving and relocating a landmark that means so much to the local community.”
The firm also has an ongoing contract with Centrica to help relocate British Gas engineers from sites in Leicester, Sheffield and Salford to Magna Park in Lutterworth.
Other recent contracts include relocations and clearances for Talbots Law, Bloor Homes, and Hill Dickinson’s Birmingham and Liverpool offices following similar projects with the law firm in Manchester and London.
Previous major projects carried out by the business have included moving 22,000 books from University of Staffordshire’s Cadman Library at its Stoke-on-Trent campus, with the collection packed in sequential order to ensure it could be accurately reinstated.
The company has also worked at the Toyota manufacturing plant in Derbyshire, clearing 280 tonnes of machinery and equipment from a large department to make way for new machinery.
