Russell Roof Tiles wins first Langcroft order for 14-home Burton scheme

1 min read

A Burton upon Trent manufacturer has secured its first project with a Nottingham-based housing developer, supplying locally-made products for a new 14-home affordable housing scheme.

Russell Roof Tiles’ Bute3 concrete roof tiles are being used for a development on Harbury Street, in Burton, which is being delivered by Langcroft Group for Burton-headquartered housing provider Trent & Dove.

The scheme comprises 10 homes for social rent and four for shared ownership and is being built on a previously derelict site occupied by a private house and former garage.

The tiles are designed to recreate the appearance of a traditional plain tile while offering the performance, consistency and cost benefits of concrete.

Will Ryley, Development Manager at Langcroft Group, said: “Working with a local manufacturer was a real positive for the project.

“The biggest benefit has been having an attractive, readily available and complete roofing solution.”

The project involved demolishing a derelict private house and former garage site to access unused brownfield land.
