A free event is being staged to help rural businesses in Staffordshire to grow and access support.
The Rural Business Pop-up Hub at Keele Hall on Tuesday, 13 October, bringing together organisations offering practical guidance on funding, business development and growth.
Organised by Staffordshire County Council in partnership with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the event is open to businesses located in rural areas of Staffordshire as well as people living in rural communities who are thinking about launching their own companies.
Exhibitors will include the county council, Staffordshire Chambers and Keele University.
Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Skills Hub, Staffordshire Business and Environment Network, and Staffordshire Jobs and Careers Services will also be in attendance.
Robin Hall, the county council’s cabinet member for economy and skills, said: “Running a business in a rural community can bring challenges, from accessing finance and skills to finding the right specialist advice.
“Staffordshire has a strong and diverse rural economy, and we want to help its businesses start, grow and create more local jobs.
“This free event brings a wide range of practical support together under one roof. Whether you already run a business or are considering starting one, I would encourage you to come along, speak directly to the experts and find out what help is available.”
The event takes place between 10am and 12.30pm.
