Landed estates business Bradford Estates has invested in a fleet of electric vans in the latest phase of a long-term drive to reduce its environmental impact.
Five Volkswagen Transporter vehicles have been unveiled for use by staff working for the business, which has a principal asset of 12,000 acres on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border.
The vehicles, which have a charging range of 190 miles, will be driven by staff working across the Bradford Estates property, farming, forestry and leisure businesses.
Managing Director Chris Hodson said: “The introduction of these five zero-emission electric vehicles provides a fantastic step forward in reducing our operational carbon footprint across the diverse Bradford Estates activities.
“By upgrading our day-to-day transport to electric vans, we are ensuring that our team on the ground can manage our assets in the most sustainable way possible.”
