Cricket players will have a dedicated space to train all year round when a brand‑new indoor facility opens its doors later this month.
WicketWorks Stoke, founded by Gareth Holdcroft, will officially open on Saturday, 31 October at Unit 22, Newstead Industrial Estate, in Trentham.
The centre aims to become the go‑to venue for cricketers of all ages and abilities to sharpen their skills, improve their game and build confidence in a friendly, professional environment.
Gareth, who has been involved in cricket for several years through his son, Oliver, playing at Moddershall Cricket Club, said the idea came after recognising the need for another indoor facility in the area.
He said: “We’ve been using a local indoor centre for the past five or six years, but with the next closest being in Nantwich, we felt it was the right time to open one closer to home.
“This will be our first venture, and we’re hoping it’s a success — with plans to expand the WicketWorks brand in the future.
“For now, the goal is to make WicketWorks Stoke the place to go for cricket in Stoke and Staffordshire.”
Wicketworks is hosting open evening tonight (23 October) from 7pm.
The event will feature opportunities for visitors to explore the facility, meet the team and book sessions.
The centre offers batting practice, bowling machines, and tailored training options for individuals, teams and clubs.
