Tamworth firm invests £100k in home energy centre

A Tamworth home energy specialist is investing up to £100,000 in a new centre designed to help homeowners explore the latest heating, renewable energy and home efficiency technology.

Ronax Solutions is developing the new Ronax Solutions Centre on Bonehill Road, opposite Mile Oak Garden Centre, with the main showroom expected to open in 2027.

The firm, which employs 10 people and works with a further six subcontractors, provides heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and renewable energy services, including heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage and EV charging installations.

Ronax said the centre will be designed as an interactive experience rather than a traditional showroom, allowing visitors to see modern home energy technologies in action and discuss their options with experts.

Founded eight years ago by Solutions Specialist and Director Tim Cook after two decades in the industry, Ronax Solutions was created to bring multiple trades under one roof.

He said: “We’re creating the Ronax Solutions Centre and the idea is simple; to give people a welcoming place to explore how modern heating and home-energy technology could work in their own homes.

“It is being designed as an experience rather than a conventional showroom. Visitors will see working technology up close, hear how quiet it is, and understand how it fits into a real home.

“Heating, cooling, solar, battery storage and EV charging will all be under one roof, alongside space to sit down with our team and talk through what they actually want to achieve.

“We want to take the mystery out of these decisions. People should be able to ask questions without feeling pressured, see how the different systems work together, and get honest advice about what’s right for their property.”

Ronax Solutions has already established a temporary office at the Mile Oak site while development of the centre continues in phases.

The investment, which includes the showroom, demonstration equipment and visitor facilities, forms part of the company’s long-term growth plans and is expected to create further employment opportunities in the future.

Alongside supporting homeowners, Ronax Solutions plans to work with Tamworth College to help educate and train the next generation of heating and renewable energy engineers.

Tim added: “The centre is also about more than our customers. We’re teaming up with Tamworth College to help educate and train the next generation of heating and renewable energy engineers, and we’re working with local businesses across Staffordshire to build something that benefits the whole community.”

The company will announce a public opening date for the showroom once plans are finalised.
