Gearing up for exciting announcements

Keele University is gearing up to celebrate National Apprenticeships Week. 

Students and staff have been told to keep an eye on social media as the university once again plans to mark the week as part of its ongoing contribution to skills needs and development, by supporting and developing individuals and employers. 

Lou Taylor-Murison, Head of Apprenticeships and Experiential Learning at Keele, said: “We are proud to support apprentices regionally and nationally in making significant contributions to their own career development, organisations they work for and wider society, as part of our commitment to develop skills for the future.” 

The university launched its apprenticeship scheme in 2018 and now has over 500 apprentices from more than 100 different employers, across a diverse range of programmes from different sectors and specialisms. 

Recently, the first cohort of Data Scientist Apprentices have graduated from the programme with 2:1’s or 1sts, including a large cohort from Barclays
