Estate agent’s growth plans spurred on by lettings success

An award-winning estate agent has its sights set on expansion following the early success of a new lettings service.

Critchlow Estate Agents brought in Alison Proudfoot as Lettings Manager in April 2022 and in less than 12 months is closing in on having 100 fully managed properties on its books – an initial target set by the team.

Plans are now pushing forward for further expansion with more lettings agents expected to join the four-strong Critchlow team in the near future.

A further branch office is also in the pipeline to complement the agents’ base at Federation House, Stoke-on-Trent.

“We are getting ready to welcome more staff in the coming months as we continue with our growth plans,” said Martin Critchlow, who founded the agency in 2020.

“Our sales department has continued to grow and with a demand for rental properties, our plans are in place to be heading further afield too.

“I cannot thank my team enough for their hard work and the commitment to providing the best service to our customers which is enabling our growth to continue.”

Last year the agency was recognised for ‘Outstanding Customer Service’ in its sales department when it received Gold for Stoke-on-Trent (South) in the British Property Awards.

Since launching the lettings arm, Critchlow now has 75 fully managed properties on the books throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, with a high percentage of those family homes.

Alison said: “We are very customer focused in everything we do and we are able to provide a one-to-one service whether that is with landlords or tenants – which is very important to us.

“We totally understand how busy landlords are, as well as the busy lives our tenants lead, therefore we are here to ensure that their experience with us is as smooth a process as possible.

“Taking care of new landlords is also very important and we can provide that all-important one-to-one expert guidance for anyone who may have inherited a property and is looking to provide a rental option.”
