UK award nomination celebrates Strategi’s employee-first culture

Strategi Solutions has been shortlisted for a national award after finding innovative ways to give younger employees a bigger role in the company’s progress – leading to an upturn in revenue and productivity.

The business support consultancy, based at Lymedale Business Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been announced as a finalist in the ‘Next Generation Initiative’ category at the UK Company Culture Awards.

It follows a focus on succession planning aimed at alleviating the issues of an ageing senior leadership team.

This led to the creation of the StratStars initiative, a programme which aims to empower, reward and provide clear development opportunities for employees and even prepare them for potential future roles as company directors.

According to the company, this programme has directly and indirectly contributed to a productivity increase of 24 per cent, a revenue increase of £500,000 and zero per cent absence levels across the entire business.

It has also empowered young employees to have their say, boosted loyalty and retention and made Strategi more appealing to potential new recruits.

On being shortlisted, Rob Fisher, Managing Director, said: “Being at Strategi from the beginning, it’s been a journey that I am so proud of. This initiative ensures we are constantly developing and growing our talent and becoming an employer of choice in the local area.

“Being shortlisted for this award allows us to raise awareness not only on the importance of harnessing local talent but futureproofing your business too.”

CEO Wendy Dean added: “After working in so many large organisations I knew exactly what we didn’t need to do when I envisioned Strategi, and with such a great team we have worked together to cultivate something that I have never seen anywhere else.

“Every person in this business shares my vision, my passion, and my drive for the future of this organisation, and I know that through both good and bad they stand here with me. This Award would mean more than you can imagine to us all.”
