An award-winning Newcastle-under-Lyme-based company has come up with a unique way to stay cool this summer while enjoying a refreshing drink.

The Best of British Beer Icebox has been launched to revolutionise people’s craft beer enjoyment.

Designed by Best of British Beer, based at Silverdale Enterprise Park, in conjunction with Advanced Packaging, of Chesterton, the Icebox is reusable and recyclable and keeps cans at the perfect drinking temperature.

At the heart of the craft beer Icebox, above, is an innovative reusable and recyclable cardboard ice bucket. Crafted from sturdy, eco-friendly materials, Icebox offers the perfect solution to keeping your drinks refreshingly cool for hours.

Will Sherwin, co-founder of Best of British Beer, said: “It’s fantastic at a festival, brilliant on the beach, great in the garden and perfect for the park.

“Icebox comes with 6 x 440ml cans of craft beer from some of our favourite independent British breweries and can be used again and again, reducing waste.

“All you need to do is remove the top, pop in some ice and you are good to go. When you’re finished, empty out any water out and flatten the box and it’s ready for next time, no need to wander around with a bulky plastic chiller.”

Best of British Beer was set up by husband and wife Will and Gill Sherwin in 2011. Their aim was to help wave the flag for this country’s finest independent breweries and award-winning beers.

They have gone on to sell around 50 million cans and bottles since then and won 17 local, regional and national awards.

During the last 12 years, the company has also kickstarted the careers of 11 apprentices and raised thousands of pounds for good causes by holding charity beer festivals at its warehouse.

Since 2022 it has been an employee-owned company too – after staff were handed a 51 per cent majority shareholding in a move worth £650,000.
