A multi-award-winning restaurant has picked up another major title – this time shining at the 12th English Curry Awards.
Alessi Indian Restaurant, in Audley, is no stranger to awards ceremonies after previous picking up a host of regional and national accolades including the overall prize at the 2023 Nation’s Curry Awards held in March.
Monday’s event saw it crowned West Midlands Curry Restaurant of the Year and Curry Restaurant of the Year Overall Winner in the competition celebrating businesses within the English curry industry.
A spokesman said: “We are so proud of everyone who is a part of the restaurant, our incredible staff who always put 110% into their job, our beautiful customers who we love to see to return and enjoy our experience and again to bring another major award to the historic and beautiful village of Audley.”
Meanwhile, Gandhi Indian Restaurant and Takeaway also enjoyed success at the ceremony held in Birmingham.
The establishment, which is based in Saverley Green, won Best Takeaway in the West Midlands and chef Mohammed Kamal took the title of Midlands Chef of the Year.
Gandhi also won the Best of the Midlands award and Best Chef of the Year at the 1st Nation’s Curry Awards 2023.
