Stoke-on-Trent City Council has launched a new grant programme powered by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) aimed at propelling economic growth by attracting new businesses and creating new, sustainable jobs.
The Powering Up Inward Investment initiative offers grants from £10,000 to £50,000 for companies in Advanced Manufacturing, Digital, Life Sciences and Energy/Low Carbon.
Priority will go to those making first-time investments in Stoke-on-Trent, although existing businesses with expansion projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The funding can cover up to 30 per cent of eligible capital expenditure such as equipment, fittings and plant and machinery with match funding to be provided by applicants.
A total pot of £325,000 is available for business to tap into, with the programme ending 31 March 2025. Applications will be evaluated on criteria including strategic fit, deliverability, and local economic impact.
The City Council’s dedicated investment service, Invest Stoke-on-Trent, will provide guidance on the application process and grant programme delivery in compliance with UKSPF requirements.
