Leek Building Society has teamed up with a local contractor to completely transform their head office and nine of its branches.
The collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent-based Kraft Interiors is said to have created a number of jobs as part of a refurbishment project due to be completed in the first half of 2023.
The work includes modernisation of the building society’s head office on St Edward Street, in Leek, and updating its branches to enhance the customer experience and provide a more comfortable and modern environment for staff. New furniture, lighting, and decor has been installed throughout.
The project also includes a focus on sustainability, with the use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions to minimise the Society’s impact on the environment.
“We’re really pleased to be working in collaboration with Kraft Interiors to undertake this significant refurbishment project,” said Rob Longmore, HR Director of Leek Building Society.
“We believe it’s our responsibility to do our part to support the local economy, and partnerships like this provide an excellent opportunity to do so.
“We’re pleased to have helped create job opportunities in the Moorlands area, contributing to the economic growth of each of the communities in which we have a presence.
“Kraft Interiors are doing a wonderful job and have shown a high level of professionalism and skill.”
Garry Machin, one of the Directors of Kraft Interiors, said: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with Leek Building Society on this refurbishment project.
“Our team enjoyed the challenge of creating designs that would improve the efficiency and appeal of the spaces, while also reflecting the values and branding of the building society.
“It was important for me and Leek Building Society that we used local tradespeople and suppliers throughout the project to ensure opportunities are created for skilled workers in the local community.
“I’ve recently expanded my workforce as a direct result of the additional work from Leek Building Society.”
The building society’s three other branches have also undergone refurbishment.
