Winning the “Business of the Year” title at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards has energised employees and boosted business, according to Peter Ellse.

The CEO of Cosy Direct, named Business of the Year in 2022, says both staff and their families have been infused with a sense of great pride at having been externally recognised.

The Burton upon Trent business, which has 100 employees, specialises in outdoor educational resources for schools and nurseries.

“The award is in pride of place in our reception and we always mention it to help us win business in the export market,” said Peter, who is the company’s founder.

“It is a matter of great credit to receive it from our peers and it increases our visibility.

“The ceremony itself is really convivial and a great place to make connections with a lot of people.

“The Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards are nothing short of a capital A for Amazing.”
