International technology company Lucideon has achieved a prestigious Gold in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards.
Lucideon, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, has secured the highest possible recognition in its first attempt entering the acclaimed awards programme.
The achievement marks the company’s commitment to high-quality scientific practices across its business, which operates in sectors including aerospace, healthcare, advanced ceramics, construction and energy.
Tony Kinsella, Lucideon Group CEO, said: “This recognition by RoSPA is crucial in demonstrating that we are implementing the latest methods in safeguarding our employees and people working on our construction sites and that the health, safety and well-being of our people is at the forefront of everything we do.
“The RoSPA Gold Award also showcases to our clients, partners and wider community that we have everyone’s best interests in mind and aspire to be a leader in our field for high-quality scientific practices.
“This achievement does not occur without an unwavering commitment from our team, so I would like to pay particular thanks for their hard work.
“We are all very proud of the recognition by RoSPA and being part of a highly esteemed awards community.”
Winners of the internationally recognised RoSPA Award are recognised as being world leaders in Health and Safety practice.
Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants aim to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running Health & Safety industry awards.
Accolades are awarded based on evidence around leadership, health and safety support, planning and management as well as training and information delivery, risk assessment processes, performance monitoring and other detailed criteria.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “Accidents at work and work-related ill health don’t just have huge financial implications or cause major disruption – they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life.
“That’s why good safety performance deserves to be recognised and rewarded.
“We are thrilled that Lucideon has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
