Stafford’s ELM Group scooped a Gold Award in the latest global Digital Health Awards.
The American-based accolades recognise the best digital health resources developed for consumers and health professionals.
The Gold Award was given for ELM Group’s work with the European Achondroplasia Forum (EAF), a group of experts on the management of achondroplasia – the most common form of dwarfism – for a manuscript aimed at improving care of adults with the condition.
Svein Fredwall, Vice President of the EAF and lead author on the manuscript, said: “I am delighted that this piece of work has been recognised with a Gold Award.
“The importance of care of adults with achondroplasia is often overlooked, so we are grateful to have a spotlight shone on this important work.”
ELM Group also scooped a Bronze Award for its podcast series discussing the latest developments in the field of Lupus, a long-term autoimmune disease that causes inflammation, joint pain, skin rashes and tiredness.
Five other programmes received recognition for quality, with two companies within the group recognised for work in haemophilia and cardiometabolic conditions as well as further awards for work in achondroplasia and inflammatory diseases.
Group Chairman Martin Lennon, pictured above, said “I am immensely proud of the quality of work we produce from our base in Stafford which last year reached colleagues in over 120 countries worldwide.
“Our collaborations with major academic institutions and biopharmaceutical companies delivers important support to physicians worldwide”.
