James, pictured above, joined Thompson Wright in 2015 and since then has become an integral part of his client’s operations.

His experience, built up over a decade supporting businesses from sole traders through to limited companies, gives his clients a perfect sounding board to make strategic decisions.

James said “It’s inspiring to be part of a firm that’s continuing to progress and expand.

“Since day one, I’ve enjoyed working with the team at Thompson Wright to provide a high-quality service to our clients, not only to maximise their tax efficiencies but also to plan long term, ensuring that our clients realise their goals and ambitions.”

Catherine, above, who is a Chartered Tax Advisor, has more than 15 years of experience in the tax profession and joined Thompson Wright in 2016, where she has continued to develop her career and skills.

She has a reputation as a specialist in property tax advice but also works with sole traders, high net worth clients and owner-managed businesses on all areas of taxation – helping her clients to drastically minimise their tax liabilities each year and remain compliant.

Speaking about her promotion, Catherine said: “It has been a pleasure to learn and grow from the existing directors who have committed their time in helping me achieve my career progression.

“I want to thank them for being great mentors and for recognising my development with this promotion. I look forward to being a part of the exciting future of the practice.”

Welcoming them to the board of directors, Thompson Wright’s Managing Director Richard Thompson said: “We are very proud to announce the appointment of James and Catherine as directors.

“Each have their own expertise, which makes them unique and they have a real passion for providing the best service to our clients.

“We are all looking forward to seeing what James and Catherine can achieve in their new role.”
