Inspired Film and Video has won a high-profile contract to provide live streaming coverage of the World Nations Cup of Walking Football.  

The tournament runs from 24th to 26th August and takes place at St George’s Park, in Staffordshire – home to all of England’s national football teams.  

There are over-50s and over-60s tournaments with hosts England joined by teams from across the globe including Italy, Saudi Arabia, Australia, South Korea, Spain, Rwanda, Canada, Wales and Japan. 

The games are to be streamed on the Recast platform, a pay-per-minute online channel, which broadcasts sporting events such as diving and curling and hosted exclusive live coverage of Manchester City’s pre-season tour to Asia.

Mike McDonald, Business Development Director at the Stoke-on-Trent-based production company, said: “We are thrilled to be involved with such a high-profile event with the potential for a large number of viewers from around the world.  

“As a Staffordshire company, its great this event is being held here. We have worked a lot in football over the years and to cover a World Cup really is very exciting. We can’t wait to get broadcasting.” 

Head of Marketing for the Walking Football Association Ken Davies was keen to emphasis the opportunity streaming the event gave the tournament.  

He said: “Broadcasting in a cost-effective way will enable us to build the audience of walking football like never before and of course give all the opportunity for supporters of all nations involved to watch the games.”
